Where in the World?
Guess where each photo was taken, then read a short note about the place. No clock in Relaxed mode.A photo appears. You guess where in the world it was taken. Then you get a short, friendly note about the place. Some are famous, some are quiet corners of the planet. It is fast and friendly, with a gentle countdown, and a Relaxed mode with no clock at all. No account either way.

How to play
- Press Start playing for a mix of photos, or open “More ways to play” to pick a theme (landmarks, nature, cities and more), a five-photo trip or today’s challenge. Each game is 10 photos.
- Look at the photo and pick one of four places. Tap a choice, or press 1 to 4, or A to D.
- Quick answers earn more points. As the seconds pass, wrong choices fade away, one at a time, so the right one is never taken from you. If the time runs out, nothing is lost and you see the answer.
- Not sure? A hint takes away two choices for half the points.
- Read about the place, follow the Wikipedia link if you like, then choose Next photo when you are ready. Nothing moves on without you.
Prefer no clock? Turn on Relaxed mode on the start screen. There is no countdown, nothing fades away, and points do not depend on speed. It uses the same photos and the same levels. You can also pause at any time with the Pause button or the Esc key, and the game pauses by itself if you switch to another tab.
Right answers earn points and experience (XP), and harder photos are worth more. Your level goes up to 50, with a friendly new title along the way. As your level rises the photos get trickier, the wrong choices look more alike, the clock gets a little shorter (never under 8 seconds), and from level 8 hints rest. Your game draws from 227 places, and you will not see a photo twice until you have seen them all.
More to enjoy
- Travel passport. Every place you identify earns a stamp. Open the passport to see your collection and read about each place.
- Today’s challenge. Five places, the same for everyone on the same day. Finish it on consecutive days to grow your daily streak. Miss a day and you simply start again, no fuss.
- Badges. Small surprises that arrive as you play, like your first stamp or a week of travel.
- Wish list. Tap the heart on any place you would like to visit one day, then print your list.
- Trips. Optional themed mini-trips of five photos, like a week in Italy or a National Parks road trip. Finish a trip (right or wrong answers both count) to add its stamp to your passport. They are in “More ways to play” on the start screen.
- Play together. Two people, one screen, taking turns. Nothing is saved for this mode.
- Practice. After a game, replay the places you missed, with no clock and no XP.
Accessibility and comfort
- You can play with the keyboard alone: Tab to move, 1 to 4 or A to D to answer, N or Enter for Next photo, Esc to pause.
- Results are announced to screen readers. The countdown is not read out every second; you hear only when a choice fades away and when time is up. Photo descriptions do not give the answer away until you have answered.
- Colour is never the only signal. Right and not-quite answers also use an icon and words.
- Comfort settings let you choose larger text, high contrast, reduced motion, and separate music and sound volumes.
- Animation is small, and turns off if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Music is soft and optional, and so are the sound effects. They start only when you press Start.
Your progress and privacy
After you press Start, the game saves your level, your passport and trip stamps, wish list, badges, daily streak and your comfort and sound choices in one small cookie on this device. It holds no name, no email and nothing else about you, and it is not sent to analytics. Use Reset my progress on the start screen to remove it. If your browser blocks cookies, the game still works for that visit. Read the privacy details.
