Grief & bereavement support
Family and friends grieving a death — including children and teens, widowed partners, and bereaved parents.
What help is available
National grief organizations, peer grief groups, children's grief programs, and directories for finding local bereavement support (often free through hospices).
Good to know
Grief support is not therapy. If grief feels unmanageable, a grief counselor or mental-health professional can help — and hospices often offer free bereavement counseling.
A note about peer support
Peer support can provide understanding and practical encouragement, but group members may share personal experiences that do not apply to everyone. Do not change treatment, medication, or urgent-care decisions based only on advice from an online group.
